Intro
Furthermore, Policy Research Unit (PRU) was established as an institutional mechanism within DHRMD to initiate action response to human resource policy issues and other related matters that fall within the powers of the Department. This calls for the Department to be proactive to human resource policy issues and requirements rather than being reactive to situations by conducting action-oriented research in emerging human resource issues that should feed into public policies. Hence, DHRMD actively takes a long-term view of the public service human resource function, how its operations are evolving globally and see value in supporting it by developing policies that should stand the test of the time. The medium-term expected outcome is improved public service human resource policies, regulations and procedures.
